Harry wanted to fly like a bird, it was his dearest wish

We met Harry in February 2022. This little boy is a real joker who likes to play with cars, spinning tops, build Legos and watch lots of cartoons. But he also loves animals: lions, tigers, panthers, bulls. His favourite    animals are birds. And Harry’s biggest dream was to be able to fly like a bird, a wonderful wish.

The Make-A-Wish team set up a paragliding flight for him, so that our young dreamer could get as close as possible to the sensations felt by these feathered beings. On a sunny day in March, Harry’s wish came true.

On arrival, Harry boarded a van with his escort and the other paragliders to get to higher ground for take-off.  At the top, Harry suited up, surrounded by adult paragliders – he was the youngest to launch that day. As soon as everything was in place, Harry was ready for the big jump with his escort. Our little guy was surprisingly calm during the flight, fascinated by the breath-taking view with his feet in the air. He was flying like a bird!

After about twenty minutes, Harry landed gently on the ground.  He joined his mother, but he already wanted to get back in the air. His mom had never seen him so calm. The whole family then went to the hotel, a beautiful story-book castle on the edge of a lake.  There, they shared a good meal before enjoying a good night’s sleep with, for Harry, dreams filled with flying with the birds.
