Emmie dreamed of flying a helicopter

Quite a few of our Make-A-Wish champions are fascinated by helicopters, which they often see landing and departing on hospital rooftops. Over time, many of them dream of one day being able to go behind the scenes of these takeoffs and landings, and to be able to fly in a helicopter themselves.

Emmie is one of those fascinated by the aircraft. Her dearest wish was to be able to fly in the sky on board one of these extraordinary machines.

It was during a beautiful afternoon in May that her dream came true. With her mom, dad and sister, our heroine went to the Blécherette airport in Lausanne. After meeting our volunteers and “her” pilot, Emmie and her family took to the skies for a magnificent trip over the Dents du Midi, before flying back over Lake Geneva. The whole family was impressed by the helicopter itself, but also by the beautiful scenery and the thrill of the flight.

They had a lovely family experience, which continued afterwards around a snack on a terrace, next to many different aircrafts, just to extend the magical moment…
