Mariam dreamed of discovering Switzerland

Since she began her treatment in Switzerland, Mariam had not had the opportunity to visit any other city other than the one where she lives and the one where the large hospital she visits regularly is located. When we asked her what her dearest wish was, she told us with a twinkle in her eye that she wanted to “discover Switzerland”.

As she couldn’t be away for too long, Mariam’s first stop on her mini-discovery of Switzerland was Bern, where she was able to discover the city and its bear pit and sleep in the sumptuous Bellevue Palace. Subsequently, the whole family went to visit the city of Zurich.

Finally, Mariam and her family discovered the Vaud Riviera with Montreux and Vevey, where they stayed at the prestigious Fairmont Montreux Palace.

During this visit, Mariam discovered two fantastic museums which greatly contributed to the success of this wish: the Alimentarium which tells the story of our food and Chaplin’s World, thanks to the help of the Circle of Friends, which retraces the life of the famous actor.

Mariam and her family loved discovering all these new places. They went home saying these had been the best days of their lives. We are grateful to all the people who helped us make this family happy: the partners already mentioned and Elite Rent-A-Car.
