A winter dream come true
Seven-year-old Aamina has always dreamed of playing in the snow. Due to her medical condition, she had never had the opportunity to experience the magic of a snowy landscape. Thanks to Make-A-Wish and the generosity of our partners, her wish came true during an exceptional stay in Zermatt from January 7 to 13, 15.
At Make-A-Wish, a wish doesn't just begin the day it's granted. It's carefully planned, prepared, and anticipated to maximize its emotional impact and give the child a source of joy from the moment they announce their wish.
For Aamina, it all started in December, when she and her family met our team for a shopping trip to choose snow gear. Her only request? That everything be pink! A moment of pure joy as excitement began to grow.
"The energy from the whole family was fantastic, and Aamina was particularly happy," says our volunteer Jean-Pierre.
A few weeks later, Aamina and her family headed to the Swiss mountains for a memorable weekend.
Upon their arrival at the Hotel Schweizerhof Zermatt, the warm welcome from the team immediately immersed the family in a cocoon of well-being. The entire team provided exceptional service, ensuring every moment was perfect.
"The hotel was magnificent and the organization was just perfect. The staff were like family to us," confided Aamina's father.
For three days, Aamina discovered snow in all its forms:

First toboggan runs
Snowman making
Moments of pure family joy

Her parents never imagined how transformative this trip would be. "We were looking forward to it, but we never imagined such a magical wish."
Beyond the immediate pleasure, this wish had a profound impact on Aamina and her family.
"She talks about it every day and has regained an extraordinary level of energy," her parents say.
These shared moments of happiness will remain forever engraved in their memory, offering a new breath of energy and hope.
