Last Saturday, June 6th, the 3rd edition of our event Drive for wishes took place at the Porsche Centre in Schlieren, offering several Make-A-Wish children and their families an exceptional day filled with dreams, automotive passion and sharing.
Nearly twenty car enthusiasts arrived with their remarkable sports cars to offer children unforgettable rides and a unique immersion into the fascinating world of prestige automobiles. Under a magnificent sun, the smiles, bursts of laughter, and wonder of the children created a warm and magical atmosphere that will remain etched in their memories.
This event would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our partner Porsche. For the past three years, Porsche has enthusiastically and generously supported Drive for Wishes. Beyond this event, Porsche has also been supporting Make-A-Wish Switzerland & Liechtenstein for several years, helping to grant the wishes of many children with serious illnesses. Their continued commitment transforms dreams into reality and brings hope, strength, and joy to families in need.
We also extend our sincerest thanks to Faino Food Truck for their presence, commitment and the delicious culinary specialties that delighted young and old throughout the day.
A huge thank you to Reto, a dedicated volunteer and pillar of this event, as well as to all the car enthusiasts who have faithfully supported us since the very first editions. Thanks to their time, energy, and generosity, they offer much more than just a simple drive: they create precious memories and allow children to experience truly timeless moments.
Finally, we would like to warmly thank all the volunteers and the many Wish Makers, Ute, Nico, Christoph and Anna, and our Regional Manager Michelle, who make possible not only this exceptional event, but also the fulfillment of hundreds of wishes each year.
It is thanks to your commitment, your kindness and your generosity that we can continue to bring joy, hope and magic into the lives of children who need it most.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
