When teams become Wish Makers: Safery Trust takes on the Wish Workshop Challenge
During Gold September, we are highlighting the many ways individuals and businesses can help grant life-changing wishes for children with cancer or other serious illnesses. From financial donations and wish sponsorships to corporate partnerships, every form of support can help us turn a child's dearest wish into reality.
A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of bringing together a fantastic team of 25 employees from Saffery Trust for a team building experience like no other: our Wish Workshop Challenge.
During this workshop, participants were invited to delve into the heart of Make-A-Wish Switzerland & Liechtenstein's mission and to discover in concrete terms what it means to become a Wish Maker.
Divided into teams and working around the wishes of two children with serious illnesses, the participants took up the challenge of imagining and developing the different stages of their Wish Journey, the path that will transform their wish into a truly unique experience.
With enthusiasm, creativity and magnificent commitment, the teams developed and presented their ideas, imagining how every detail could contribute to making the experience of these two children as exceptional and unforgettable as possible.
But the adventure doesn't end in the workshop.
Saffery Trust will sponsor the wishes of these two children, thus transforming the ideas, energy and commitment shared during the workshop into a concrete and direct contribution to our mission.
Much more than a donation
Business support can take many forms.
Financial donations remain essential to enable Make-A-Wish Switzerland & Liechtenstein to support even more eligible children and grant more wishes. But corporate partnerships can also offer employees the opportunity to get directly and tangibly involved in our mission.
The Wish Workshop Challenge is a good example of this.
By bringing employees together around a common goal, companies can combine team building, team engagement and social impact, while allowing them to better understand the work, creativity and attention required to fulfill a child's wish.
Participants no longer support our mission remotely: they truly go behind the scenes of a wish. They reflect, collaborate, imagine, and put their creativity at the service of a child and their dream.
For a few hours, they do what our teams and volunteers do every day: help make wishes come true.
This Golden September, become a Wish Maker too!
September in Gold is a crucial time to raise public awareness of pediatric cancer and to show our support for children and families facing this ordeal.
This is also an opportunity to remember that our mission is aimed at children suffering from many other serious illnesses and that every eligible child deserves to experience the joy, strength and hope that a wish can bring them throughout their journey.
A wish has the power to give hope to a child facing cancer.
And businesses also have the power to help make these wishes possible.
Your company can make a donation, sponsor a child's wish, mobilize its employees around a fundraising campaign, make its products, services or expertise available to our mission, or even directly involve its teams through initiatives such as the Wish Workshop Challenge.
Whatever form your involvement takes, your support can contribute to something extraordinary: turning a child's dearest wish into reality.
In this Golden September, your company and your teams can also become Wish Makers.
Children suffering from cancer or other serious illnesses are waiting today to be able to live out their wish.
Sponsor a wish. Mobilize your teams. Become a partner.
Because to make wishes come true, we need teams like yours.
