From 3 to 17 years old at the time of registration
Registration is open to children ages 3 to 17, the age at which they can consciously express their wish and understand its scope. The wish can be granted up until the day before their 22nd birthday, providing essential flexibility to adapt to the child's health, ongoing medical treatments, and specific constraints such as the season or the availability of a celebrity.

When faced with a serious illness, a wish becomes a source of hope and strength for the child and their family. Our multidisciplinary medical team assesses each situation to ensure a safe experience. Eligible conditions include: rheumatology, pulmonology, oncology, neurology, nephrology, immunology, infectious diseases, hematology, genetics, endocrinology, metabolic disorders, cardiology, and transplantation.
Experience
A unique wish
We grant a unique wish per child, making the experience all the more precious and meaningful. A child is eligible if they have never received a similar wish from another foundation. This policy optimizes resources and allows us to reach more children each year. This unique moment becomes a shining milestone in the child's journey through the illness. During the initial meeting, volunteers check to ensure no similar experiences have been previously experienced.
Location
In Switzerland or Liechtenstein
Make-A-Wish supports children residing in Switzerland or Liechtenstein, as well as those hospitalized here for specialized care. Our network of volunteers in all cantons ensures personalized contact with each family and close collaboration with medical teams. This territorial presence facilitates local partnerships and the adaptation of wishes to the cultural and linguistic specificities of each region (French-speaking, German-speaking, Italian-speaking, or Romansh-speaking).
Parents, legal guardians, and family members can naturally initiate a request. Grandparents, uncles, aunts, godparents—all those who share the child's daily life and wish to offer them a magical moment are welcome.
Medical teams, caregivers, psychologists, and social workers who support the child can submit a request. Teachers and educators who witness the child's daily courage are also invited to contact us.

We will contact you within 48 hours of your request to discuss the child's situation and verify their eligibility with the medical team.

Once eligibility is confirmed, our volunteers meet with the child to discover their wish, then we organize its fulfillment in collaboration with the whole family.
We make the dreams of seriously ill children come true. Each wish is unique and personalized, but they generally fall into four broad categories:
To have
The child wants to receive something special or experience an exceptional moment. Examples: A computer to express their creativity, a room decorated according to their dreams, a helicopter ride over the Matterhorn, or a hot air balloon ride.
To go
The child dreams of traveling to a destination that makes him dream.
Examples: A magical stay at Disneyland, an adventure by the ocean, discovering the Northern Lights.
To be
The child wants to play a role or live in the shoes of his hero.
Examples: Becoming a firefighter for a day, being a princess in a real castle, a chef in a grand restaurant.
To Meet
The child yearns to meet someone who deeply inspires him.
Examples: Meeting your favorite athlete, spending time with an admired artist, talking with a renowned scientist.
